Heptachlor

An insecticide banned in 1988 used to control termites and other pests in corn crops, but that can still be found in the soil and groundwater due to its wide use during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Studies are not determining in humans, but heptachlor can cause liver damage, decreased fertility, developmental problems, and can be a potential carcinogen.
