Legionella

Legionella is the source of Legionnaire’s Disease, which is a form of pneumonia that occurs when the organism is inhaled or consumed through drinking water. It is a bacterium that is found naturally in water, but multiplies increasingly where there is warm water in places like heating systems and hot water tanks. If a person gets infected, Legionnaire’s Disease includes symptoms like high fever, cough, muscle aches, headaches and diarrhea.
