A harmful component found in gasoline, solvents, and in the manufacturing of plastics and rubber. It can primarily as a result of industrial releases from oil refineries and vehicle emissions. Although it is rare to find this chemical in high doses in drinking water, it is classified as possibly carcinogenic to humans and has been linked to liver, kidney and pituitary gland issues in some people.
