Hexachlorocyclopentadiene

Manufactured chemical mainly used to make pesticide, and is also used to make flame retardants, resins, plastics and dyes. It can contaminate drinking water supplies as a discharge from chemical factories that make them, improper waste disposal, and runoff from these pesticides. Long-term exposure and high doses of this chemical can result in liver, kidney, lung, brain, stomach and heart damage.
