Antimony

Antimony is an inorganic compound that can get in drinking water because of discharges from petroleum refineries, fire retardants, ceramics, glass, electronics and solders. Long-term exposure has been linked to increases in blood cholesterol and decreases in blood sugar, and also a higher risk of cancer. Short-term consumption in high doses can produce diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
